3 August - D'Main Authority - Beyond pacing & leading? with Haider Imam

Aren't we all taught pacing and leading in NLP 101? Isn't it one of the foundations of NLP-style change?

And that before any intervention there must be solid rapport / responsiveness between client and therapist, coach or salesperson?

Perhaps you, like me, have quoted 'pace then lead!' to other people almost like a mantra, when training them to get greater results?

But how many of us can, hand on heart, get people and groups to lean forward exactly as we lean forward? Blink as we blink? Breathe at the rate we breathe? In other words, it's not a skill that everybody can do, effortlessly, yet...

That potentially means that  one of the cornerstones of your work as a coach, therapist or influencer is broken. Meaning lost
time, status, credibility, money and results. Or worse...

In this must-attend workshop (responsible for over half a million in extra sales for well-known clients), NLP Trainer, Influence coach and
Training consultant, Haider 'Hedda' Imam will introduce you to a model that goes beyond traditional pacing & leading, using only words and ideas.

Synthesised from NLP, Pick Up Artist techniques and Social Psychology, learning D'Main Authority will give you authority over
the domain of the individual or group you're facing. Meaning 'results squared'.

Haider Imam
was UK Sales Trainer if the Year 2007. He is the Founder of So in Flow, an NLP Master Practitioner & Trainer. His area of expertise is 'Influence' - getting what you want while creating value for others.

He is the author of '47 Moments of Inspiration' (one for each working week of the year).

7 September - Volitional thinking - are you a Problem Reactor or an Outcome Creator? with Roger Longden

What is it they don’t tell you when you move into management?  You are trained in how to communicate, how to appraise, possibly how to influence and even maybe how to discipline someone but how about self-managment skills to improve your personal effectiveness?  We can’t always control or influence events but we can control how we react to them.  It’s that choice we make and the way we manage ourselves which impacts the quality of our outcomes.

Volitional thinking merges together a number of models and principles with the aim of igniting that spark of self-awareness.  It highlights common “Reactive Behaviours” which can negatively impact management and leadership effectiveness.  It is as relevant for those new to management as it is for seasoned Leaders looking to further their self-development.  Self Management is seen as a key development area and indicator for leadership talent.

Your take aways will be an awareness of common Reactive Behaviours and a new coaching construct which will help you enable your clients to understand why they react the way they do and areas of skill you can work with them on to enhance their Self Management / Emotional Intelligence.

About Roger Longden and Volition Performance

Through the challenging and varied roles he has completed thus far, Roger Longden has demonstrated himself to be an “Outcome Creator” in all aspects - both at a business and personal level.  Through his twelve years with Fujitsu - rising from order administration to his final role of working with the board as an L&D specialist, Roger established a reputation for the delivery of key business outcomes.  This track record was established in areas such as Sales, Service and Operations.  While at Fujitsu, Roger also trained as a Coach and gained his certification from Henley Business School which he found to be a transformational experience and something of a watershed.

Since leaving Fujitsu in Dec 09, Roger established Volition.  Through Volition he has been enabling SME’s to gain benefit from corporate-standard leadership development.  He has also been developing Volitional Thinking - a construct which can be used in various ways to support the development of our clients Emotional Intelligence.

Roger says, "I have a passion and a talent for bringing out the best in those who I work with.  This has been a common theme all the way through my working life - right from the children in care I worked with over 20 years ago through to Corporate roles I have since undertaken.  It is also reflected in my voluntary work as a Mentor for the Princes Trust.  In addition, I am also a founding member of the Mission Malawi fundraising project (www.missionmalawi.co.uk), President of Northern ReBound Squash Club and a member of Agecroft Rowing Club."
